Charles "Chuck" W. Allbaugh Sr.

Charles Wesley “Chuck” Allbaugh Sr., age 75, of Lone Rock, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at home surrounded lovingly by his family. He was born August 12, 1943 in Gillingham, WI the son of Silas Herbert & Bernice Mae (Reid) Allbaugh. Chuck married Cheryl Strine on June 12, 1976 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Richland Center. Chuck was a kind, and gentle man who lived life to its fullest every day. He made a friend with everyone wherever he went and always stated, “Strangers were only friends we haven’t met yet.” He spent many years with his friends and family, singing in bands, playing his guitar with all that would have him. He loved surprising his wife by buying many toys throughout the years, such as UTVS, ATVS, motorcycles, and cars. Chuck loved Wisconsin sports, and spent much of his time cheering for them from the comfort of his couch with his remote firmly gripped in his hand. He enjoyed bowling on leagues and vacationing with his family, especially in his retirement years. His most recent treasures were his grandchildren, whom he loved watching perform in sporting events, concerts, and recitals. Survivors include his wife Cheryl Allbaugh of Lone Rock, WI; 4 children, Charles (Tamika) Allbaugh Jr. of Palmyra, Virginia, Michael (Tina) Allbaugh of Mt. Sterling, WI, Julie (Randy) Meinen of Barron, WI, Liz (Jason) Perkins of Richland Center, WI; 17 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; a brother, Dwight (Sherry) Allbaugh of Richland Center, WI; mother-in-law, Eleanor Evans; brother-in-law, Darold (Linda) Strine of Lone Rock, WI; sisters-in-law, Leatrice Maass of La Farge, WI, Helen McCaffrey (Charles Funk) of Lone Rock, WI; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Larry and Lee Allbaugh; father-in-law, Harold Strine; 2 brothers-in-law, Mikle Strine and Michael McCaffrey. A Celebration of Chuck’s Life will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center with Pastor Craig Peach Officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and also on Tuesday from Noon until the time of services at 2:00 PM.
