Francis "Sonny" E. Huebsch

Francis “Sonny” Huebsch, age 87, of Ithaca, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Pine Valley Community Village following a short bout with Bile Duct Cancer. Sonny was born on September 4, 1935, the son of Francis and Amelia (Pulvermacher) Huebsch. On June 15, 1963, he married Jan Wilson at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Sauk City, WI. Jan preceded him in death after 53 years of marriage. Sonny was an avid truck hauler for 50-plus years, which he enjoyed and met many people during that time. He enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and enjoyed pulling his horses in many different parades over the years. Sonny coached many different teams and players in softball through the years. He loved to spend time with his family and many friends. Survivors include 6 children, Dawn (Mike) Draves of Baraboo, Francis “Junior” Huebsch of Ithaca, Kim (Todd) Mieden of Ithaca, Barb (Ron) Granger of Richland Center, Ron (Holly) Huebsch of LaFarge, Andy (Jessica) Huebsch of Ithaca; 13 grandchildren, Mike (Blaine) Huebsch, Dan (Stacy) Draves, Darren (Amber) Draves, Dakota Draves all of Baraboo, Ryan (Jadah) Granger, Brianna, and Brooklynn Granger all of Richland Center, McKala, Chelsey, Logan Huebsch all of LaFarge, Brandi, Hailey, Hudson Huebsch all of Ithaca; 5 great-grandchildren, Austin and Michael Huebsch, Keegan Schwichtenberg, Kiera Draves, and Ila Granger; a sister, Shirley Olson of Ithaca; a sister-in-law, Gloria Frayer of California; 2 brothers-in-law, Richard Wilson of Spring Green, Scott (Julie) Wilson of Wautoma; special nephew, Bryon Wilson; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Jan Huebsch; parents, Francis and Amelia Huebsch; father/mother-in-law, Leigh and Catherine Wilson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Duane Olson, Leigh (Martha) Wilson, Sharon Kirch, Bea (Wally) Griffin, Lynn Wilson, Dan Wilson, Ellen Wilson, Tom Wilson, Donna Topper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Keyesville, with Fr. Nathan Thainase officiating. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Keyesville. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center. Friends may also call on Thursday at church from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM where a Rosary will also be held at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
