Gary E. Martyniuk

Gary Edward Martyniuk September 26, 1956 - March 7, 2025 Gary Martyniuk, 68, of Richland Center, WI, died after a short battle with cancer at home surrounded by his family on March 7, 2025. He was born in Cook County, Illinois in 1956 to Tony and Irene Martyniuk. He joined his brother Steve Martyniuk and later welcomed his brother Douglas “Gus” and his sister Karen to the family. Gary graduated from the Ithaca School District in 1975. He attended MATC for small engine repairs. Gary was a loving father to Krystal, Kelly, Brett, and Brigitte, who dearly miss him and the life lessons he imparted to them. Fatherhood was something Gary cherished, he would typically be found at Ithaca school, attending his children’s ball games or wrestling matches. Of all the titles he held dear, he loved being a “papa” to his 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Gary was the “jack-of-all-trades.” He enjoyed being busy; he would be up before the Sun getting his day started with his first pot of coffee. Gary would rarely sit down and would often complete five projects to your one. He loved construction projects, something he learned early on in childhood from his father. He enjoyed hunting and camping. He loved riding his motorcycle and participating in the Cannon Run. In the warm summer months, he would be found cutting the lawn or visiting with family under the carport. Gary loved to crack jokes and encourage people to laugh; he would do anything to help anyone in need. Gary Edward Martyniuk was preceded in death by his father and mother, Tony and Irene Martyniuk, and his infant brother, Greg as well as aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marie Wiegand-Martyniuk; His former wife, Kristina Crine; children Krystal Ledbury of Richland Center, Kelly (David) Stibbe of Richland Center, and Brett (Katie) Martyniuk of Wallace, NC.; and Brigitte (Todd) Stivers of Pine Mountain, GA. His grandchildren: Mollie Lineberry; Brody, Owen, and Scottlynn Stibbe; Pearl Ledbury; Harley Stivers; Tammy, Brennen, Hunter, Charles, and Caiden Trump; Shelby and Braden Taylor; and Keaton Vonderehe. He had one great-granddaughter, Paisley, and his siblings Steven (Betsy) Martyniuk of Spring Hill, TN.; Douglas “Gus” (Stacey) Martyniuk of Richland Center; sister, Karen Gulsrud of Wallace, NC.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center.
