Harvey F. Riley Jr.

Harvey F. Riley of Richland Center, formerly of the Muscoda/Avoca area, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on August 2nd, 2025. He was born June 9th, 1937, in Beliot, Wisconsin. He was the son of Harvey F. Riley Sr. and loving mother Avis E. (DeCamp) Riley. Harvey graduated from Muscoda High School in 1955. Six months later, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He served in the military from 1955 to 1966, stationed in the United States, Japan, Korea, and Germany. He married Alyce Sharlene Harris in 1957. Together, they had three children; Shawn, Kelly, and Tracey. He worked at Badger Ammunition for many years and was a rural mail carrier for the North Freedom and Muscoda areas. On June 16th, 2002, he married Yvonne (Turkelson) Knoble. He was a loving husband and stepfather to her children. He loved all of his children dearly and held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially his namesake "Little Harvey." Harv's favorite past times were hunting with his family and sitting on the porch watching the birds and critters. Throughout his life, his many dogs were a special treasure to him. He loved to tell jokes and share stories from his life's adventures. Harv sang often in high school and still had the voice of an angel. We know he is singing with them now. Harvey is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne. His three children: Shawn Riley of Muscoda, Kelly (Cathy) Riley of Baraboo, and Tracey Riley of North Freedom. Three stepchildren: Heidi Jo Knoble of Janesville, Jerrod (Holly) Knoble of Richland Center, and Justin (Robin) Knoble of Baraboo. Special nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Riley Sr. and mother Avis Hankins, two infant brothers, brother Kelton Riley, sister Charlene Lounsbury, grandson Kodi Knoble, and best friend Lawrence (Geeze) Philbrook of Maine.
