Larry Lee Severson

Larry L. Severson, age 68, of Richland Center died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Richland Hospital. He was born October 17, 1944 the son of Orvin & Marcella (Hanson) Severson. On September 18, 1971 he married Deanna Toney. Larry owned his own business for many years, Severson Construction and was known as the Concrete Kid. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967. Larry was a Past Commander of Bayard de Hart Post #13, Past Chef de Gare of the 40&8 Voiture 1268, Past County Commander of the Richland County American Legion and served as 1st Vice Commander of the American Legion District #3. Also, he was President of the Independent Bowling League, President of the Richland Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club, and served as a Director on the Richland County Snowmobile Alliance to the A.W.S.C. Board. Larry enjoyed snowmobiling and rode his snowmobile from Richland Center to Drummond, Wisconsin with his friends and enjoyed snowmobile racing. Also, Larry was a member of the Back Road Express Riders and worked at the Bloodmobile. He is survived by his wife Deanna Toney of Richland Center; son Kerry Severson of Richland Center; his mother Marcie Yero of Richland Center; five sisters Joyce (Jim) Huebsch of Hillpoint, WI, Brenda (Doug) Faber of Plain, WI, Donna (Pat) Elliott of Richland Center, Deby (Gary) Wertz of Richland Center; Laurie (Reggie) Way of Richland Center; one brother Byron "Butch" (friend Sandy Hanna) Severson of Black Earth, WI; two sister-in-laws, Myrna Toney of Richland Center, Linda (August) Vancoulter of Reedsburg; a special friend Lois Duhr; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. The Local Military's Honor Unit will provide Military Graveside Rites at the Hyde Cemetery in Iowa County. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
