Robert "Bob" Francis Lambert

Robert “Bob” F. Lambert, age 74, of Cazenovia, formerly of Janesville passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017, surrounded by his family at the UW Hospital Trauma Center in Madison, as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born in Madison on February 14, 1943, the son of Raymond and Hariette M. (Liddell) Lambert. He served in the Army. Bob worked for quite a number of years at Fairbanks Morse Co. in Beloit. Following the move to Cazenovia he worked for 20 years at Gerber Products in Reedsburg. Bob married Hildegard “Dee” Holzinger Stratton on July 6, 1974. Bob was a friendly out-going guy, always there for an easy laugh. He had a generous heart. His favorite past time was fishing in the warm seasons, hunting in the fall and winter, visiting with friends over a cup of good coffee (or a beer), or walking his dogs (beagles of course), spending time with family. He loved his family deeply and was always protective of them. Bob made friends easily and kept them a life time. For all his rough edges he was loved by many and will be missed. Survivors include his wife, Dee Lambert of Cazenovia, WI; 3 daughters, Tracy (Doug) Bailey of Gleason, WI, Tania Bolden of Janesville, WI, Jennifer (Andrew) Jerrett of Reedsburg; 5 grandchildren, Megan and Austin Bailey, Grace Bolden, Caelan Jerrett, Michael Thornton; a sister, Kathy Foss of Janesville, WI; mother-in-law, Anna Holzinger; brother-in-law, Herbert Holzinger; sister-in-law, Doris Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; 2 special friends, Alan Hanko, Jimmy Hedgecock; dogs, Tucker and Winnie. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shauna Vance; grandson, Mitchell Vance; brother, Raymond Lambert Jr.; father-in-law, Heinrich Holzinger. The family would like to thank the Cazenovia First Responders and all the staff, doctors, nurses in the Trauma Care Center at UW Hospital for their compassion and caring, not just for Bob but for all of us.
