Virgil William Pahl

Virgil Pahl, age 81, of rural Richland Center died suddenly Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Pine Valley Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. On July 23, 1932 he was born the son of Edward and Vernie (Hart) Pahl in Willow Township. He graduated from Cazenovia High School in 1950. Virgil was in the United States Air Force from 1951-1954. He married Shirley Flamme on May 19, 1956. Virgil drove semi-truck for many years and also worked as a milk hauler and insurance agent. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, traveling, sports, Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. He was a long time member of Willow Valley United Methodist Church and Richland Center American Legion. Survivors include his wife Shirley of 58 years; 3 daughters Kim (Bill) Morgan of Cross Plains, WI, Pam (Harold) Coppernoll of Ixonia, WI, Sandy (Jeff) Brice of Hillpoint; a son Dean (fiance Veronica Williams) Pahl of Evansville, WI; 12 grandchildren April (Brent) Jennings of LaValle, Amber (Dave) Bingham of Hillpoint, Ryan (Mandi) Brice of Lyndon Station, Ashley (fiancé KJ McBain) Brice of Cazenovia, Linnea Morgan and Mike Morgan both of Cross Plains, Joshua (Amanda) Coppernoll of Ixonia, Tonya (special friend Samantha) Coppernoll of Racine, Jessica (Martin) Voss of Middleton, Alyssa (special friend David Linch) Pahl of Madison, Nathan Pahl of Madison, and Grace (Pahl) Williams of Evansville; step grandchildren Jeremy Brice and Jamie Brice; 10 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; a brother Dennis (Judy) Pahl of Pulaski, WI, a sister Letha (Don) Adelman of Cazenovia, WI and 2 sister-in-laws Doris Pahl of Cazenovia, Marie Rakow of Richland Center. The Local Military's Honors Unit will provide Military graveside rites at the Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 PM – 8 PM at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home and also on Friday from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM.
