February 7, 1945 - July 18, 2011

Joseph “Joe” N. Rucinski Jr., age 66, died Monday, July 18, 2011 at his home in rural Yuba. He was born February 7, 1945 the son of Joseph N. & Lois (Groves) Rucinski Sr. in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Joe graduated in 1963 from Richland Center High School. Joe served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the U.S.S. Randolph from 1964-1966. On August 26, 1967 he married Sharrel Ann Judson at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center. Joe was a member of the Carpenters Union. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, a prankster and also played a lot of slow pitch softball. Joe was inducted into the Richland Center Wrestling Hall of Fame. Survivors include his wife Sharry Rucinski of rural Yuba; daughter Rachel (Ron) Kerian of Rockbridge; a son Tye (Orine) Rucinski of Bloom City; grandchildren Zachary Zeman, A.J. Zeman, Benjamin Kerian, Victoria Kerian, Samantha Kerian, and Raymond Joe Rucinski; step grandchildren Adam Kerian (& friend Julia Brystol), Bryan Kerian, and Cassandra Kerian; step great grandchildren Trenton Ray Lewis and Ava Ann Kerian; sisters Carolyn Graham of Tomah & Sharon (Mike) Frye of Kendall; mother-in-law Alyce Judson of rural Yuba; brother-in-law Bun Fuller of Douglas, Georgia; nieces, nephews other relatives & friends. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Pat Fuller; and a father-in-law Howard Judson. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Local Military’s Honors Unit in the East Pine River Cemetery near Yuba. Friends may call on Sunday at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and also on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
