Lila Connors-Grieger

Lila Connors-Grieger, age 93, passed away on March 22, 2022 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie nursing home in Sauk City, Wisconsin. She was born on June 8, 1928 to Alois and Stanislawa (Estelle) Ligocki in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Lila raised her family of four children in Wilton, Connecticut and later in life operated Connors Lingering Pines Resort in Salt Germain, Wisconsin with her husband Gerald A. Connors. Gerald Connors is descended from the Connors and Rego families of Cazenovia, Wisconsin. After Jerry’s death, Lila married John (Jack) Greiger of Elmhurst, Illinois. They lived together in Gray’s Lake, Illinois until Jack’s death in 2010. Lila was preceded in death by three of her children: Kevin Connors, Lynn Connors, and Timothy Connors. Her eldest son, Professor Emeritus Michael Connors, currently resides in Plain, Wisconsin. Lila was a generous and caring mother. She was active in the church and community and friend to many. Lila brought a joyful energy to those around her. Her service will be a private family affair. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to Alzheimer and Dementia research.
