Margaret Ann Meyer Moore

July 10, 1941 - February 19, 2020

Margaret Ann Meyer Moore, age 78, of Reedsburg, formerly of Sextonville, died Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Reedsburg Area Medical Center. She was born on July 10, 1941, in Loyd, Wisconsin, with an identical twin sister “Millie” the daughters of Gordon and Mildred (Moore) Wastlick. Margaret graduated from Ithaca High School in 1959 and went to work as a secretary for the District Attorney at Richland County Courthouse. On June 5, 1960 she was united in marriage to Gerald “Jerry” C. Meyer. Margaret was bookkeeper for her husband Jerry’s electrical business and livestock buyer. She worked as a postal clerk for six years, when Jerry was diagnosed with cancer and passed away on May 3, 1999. She started an antique shop on their farm for twelve years. On December 24, 2000 she married Leonard Moore. They did antiques together for six years, upon retirement they moved to Reedsburg in 2007. Margaret and Leonard have enjoyed neighbors, friends, and family, playing many games of cards and other favorite games. She also enjoyed reading, her flowers, traveling, watching sporting events, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a board member for ten years of Ridgeview Senior division as representative for the people of senior homes; retiring from that after discovering her illness in 2019. Survivors include her husband Leonard Moore of Reedsburg; 3 children, Debbie (Bill) Kinsman of Lime Ridge, Thomas (Shari) Meyer of Reedsburg, Donna Demeo of Baraboo; 9 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 3 siblings, Mildred (Tom) King of Sextonville, Richard (Betty) Wastlick of Richland Center, Nancy (Steve) Faber of Tuscan, AZ; 5 brothers-in-law, Jim (Betty) Meyer, Dale (Carolyn) Meyer, Denny (Barb) Meyer, Nathaniel J. Jr. Moore, Raymond (Verba) Moore; 2 sisters-in-law, Florence Moore, Donna Moore; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Theresa Margaret on June 29, 1987; husband Jerry Meyer; a step granddaughter. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center with Pastor Craig Peach officiating. Friends may call on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at a later date in the Button Cemetery.
