Ralph "Rat" J. Klingaman

July 15, 1928 - February 20, 2015

Ralph "Rat" J. Klingaman, age 86, of Richland Center died Friday, February 20, 2015 at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Ralph was born on July 15, 1928 in Vernon County the son of Buford and Sylvia (Hynek) Klingaman. Ralph served for two years in the United States Army as chef stationed in Alaska. He married Amy Jo (Winchell) Berndt on Friday, October 13, 1967 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Ralph worked for Edward Kramer's Construction as a truck driver for 20 years, but his passion was farming from 1969 to 1992. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife Amy Jo Klingaman of Richland Center; 6 children, Pam (Jeff) Molander of Loves Park, IL, Denise (Dale) Beal of Reesville, WI, Merry (Dan) Morton of Hawthorne Woods, IL, Victoria (Doug) Durkee of Wonewoc, WI, Kathleen Edwards of DeForest, WI, Roy (Dawn) Berndt of Fitchburg, WI; 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Eleanor) Klingaman and Gaylord (Joyce) Klingaman; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bernadine (Charles) Spencer; grandson, Chad Fitzsimmons; granddaughter, Jolita Durkee. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 11:30 AM at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center. The Local Military's Honor Unit will provide graveside services at the Woodstock Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:30.
