Robert E. Kraus, age 82, of Blue River passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 7, 2022, at UW Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He was born on February 1, 1939, in Richland County the son of Richard and Izetta (Chitwood) Kraus. Survivors include his wife of 61 years Joy Kraus of Blue River, WI; a son, Gary (Carol) Kraus of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Sara Kraus of Blue River, WI; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Vicki Henderson. Upon his wishes no formal funeral services will be held. Burial will be held in the Basswood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Blue River Fire and Rescue Squad. .
