https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ze4pFYjh4Vo Ethelyn Louise Marshall, age 92, passed from this life to eternity to be with Bert B. on August 7, 2022 at Pine Valley Community Village. Ethelyn was born at home on January 18,1930 to Ella (Dalberg) and John Halink of Boaz, WI. She married Bert on October 14, 1950 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Boaz. Although never fortunate to become a nurse, she showed love, a caring attitude, and a smile as she worked at the hospital as an admissions clerk after high school; cooked in the hospital auxiliary coffee/gift shop, and offered advice and conversation with staff and residents at Pine Valley. Ethelyn provided several years of loving care prior to Bert’s passing in 2014, in addition to effectively managing and supporting his real estate business as Office Manager, she also had an instinct about maintaining hot meals when Bert was late. Ethelyn was well known for her love of cooking and sharing homemade meals with friends & family. Never was her freezer not filled with bags of cookies, hand beaten fudge, funeral banana cake ready in a moment’s notice for caramel frosting. While raising her 3 children, she made wedding cakes and hand dropped mints for weddings. Recently she was known for beer bread served at Pine Valley Assisted Living, where Food Network was on 24-7. We are certain she is already busy in that big kitchen in the sky. Surviving family includes: Annette (Wilt) Pohl, granddaughter Caitlin; Lee Marshall (Genevieve Atkinson), grandchildren: Ryan Marshall (Jennifer Whitney), Mckenzie (Eric) Mindham, great grandchildren; Claire Ethelyn & Madelyn, Alyssa (Connor) Fieldhouse, great granddaughter, Natalie; Karen (Scott) Clark, granddaughter McKenna (Alex Shifflet). She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Allen Halink. Funeral services will be Friday, August 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM; visitation 9:00-11:00AM prior to service at Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center. Burial will be at the Fancy Creek Cemetery following the funeral service.
