Paul Edward O'Neal

Paul Edward O'Neal age 64 of Lone Rock, Wisconsin, passed away 4 days before his birthday on March 9th 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Paul was so kind to everyone he met and he would talk with anyone like they were the best of friends. He was out-going, happy and vibrant in life. Every person that came into contact with Paul would walk away with a smile on their face because he made everyone feel so important. He was very generous and thoughtful through his entire life. Paul was born in Sterling, Illinois on March 13, 1958 to David and Shirley (Bennett) O'Neal. He graduated from Rock Falls High School in 1976. He made lasting friendships from his school days and was still in touch with them and their families. He never forgot a single one. Oh, the stories he would share! Paul worked manufacturing and retail, but his passion was his “Afterten Sound Systems”, business. He DJed many weddings, social events, bars, most anywhere, he was always up for a challenge. Paul and his wife, built a successful State Licensed Adult Family Home, serving adults with Different abilities. Paul always brought lots of laughter into the home. Paul loved animals. Even though Paul's stature was big and he was quite loud most of the time, he had the calmness and patience that even the stray animals would pick up on. He had such a big heart for his family, friends and animals. Paul and Christy were the best of friends. They would go for rides on the back roads and find new places to grab a bite to eat. They would take the boat out on the lakes and rivers. They would go watch movies and Paul got to pick most of those. They would go visiting in Rock Falls frequently to see family and friends. Paul is survived by his wife of 22 years, Christina O'Neal. His mother, Shirley O'Neal of Rock Falls, Ill. His sons' Jake (Michelle) O'Neal of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Justin (Kari) O'Neal of Gulf Shores, Alabama. A daughter, Amber Eng of Richland Center, Wisconsin. 8 grandchildren that he truly adored in their own unique way; Kalee (Zach) Warnimont, Mia O'Neal, Janae O'Neal, Bree O'Neal, Anna O'Neal, Nathan O'Neal, Kacylah Eng and Kensley Eng. He has many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Paul is preceded in death by his father, David O'Neal, his brother Bruce O'Neal, his mother-n-law Ruth Hansen, his father-n-law Herb Hansen and his granddaughter Kiana O'Neal. And a special Orange cat, named Spunky. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 15th at 10am at Harvest Time Church (1802 Dixon Ave Rock Falls, Illinois). Pastor Dalmus Meeks will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Special Needs Olympics charities that his granddaughter Janae O'Neal is involved in. .
