Timothy A. Banker

Timothy Alan “Tim” Banker, 44, of Stratford, Iowa, died in Hamilton County, Iowa on Monday, September 11, 2023. He was born on September 15, 1978, in Richland Center, WI, the son of Terrance “Terry” and Linda (Claude) Banker. He was “born again” on May 19, 1985 when he was baptized by his dad at Park Street Christian Church in Richland Center, WI. He was a 1997 graduate of Kickapoo High School and attended Crossroads College/Minnesota Bible College in Rochester, MN. When he was younger Tim travelled extensively throughout the country. Tim was active in 4-H showing both sheep and cattle at the Richland County Fair. While in high school he wrestled and played football. He was also active in school musicals. Tim loved the outdoors and shooting his favorite guns. He would often send pictures of his latest targets to his dad and brothers. He built a couple of “AR” rifles. He also collected knives, swords and other sharp things. Tim enjoyed reading and discussing what he read, always striving for a better understanding of what he had read. He also enjoyed playing cribbage and would play anyone at any time. If you didn’t know how to play, he would teach you. He also enjoyed wearing flannel shirts, and fedoras. So, if you have either and would like to wear it to his service, please do! Survivors include his 3 sons, Johannes, Josiah, and Judah Banker, the mother of his children, Joella Jones all of East Hartford, CT; his father, Terry Banker of Richland Center, WI; 2 brothers, Michael “Mike” (Pam) Banker of Richland Center, WI, Travis (Tabitha) Banker of North Carolina; grandfather, Carroll Banker of Richland Center, WI; the love of his life, his girlfriend, Missy Stouffer of Stratford, Iowa; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Banker; grandparents, Marvin and Virginia Claude; grandmother, Margaret Banker; 2 uncles, John Carnes and Jacob Kuhn. A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home in Richland Center, WI, with Pastor David Frank officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
